BCRCD directors aren't elected; they are appointed by Butte County Supervisors to 4-year terms, which can be renewed indefinitely.   If you would like to serve on the Board as either a voting Director or an Associate (non-voting) director, the only requirement is that you reside in Butte County and be able to sign a Conflict of Interest form.  Contact your Supervisor; he or she will be able to tell you if there is a vacancy in your district.
