Julia Sidman, Forestry Program Manager
Julia came to the District in the fall of 2024 to serve as the Forestry Program Manager to work on a wide array of projects at the BCRCD. Originally from the Boston area, Julia received a B.S. in Forest Ecology and Conservation from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Always looking for a new adventure, she found work in New Hampshire, Colorado, Vermont, North Carolina, and finally made it out to California in 2020. Julia is excited to bring her knowledge of post-fire restoration to Butte County and explore the beautiful surrounding landscapes. When not at work, she can often be found making some new food concoction, forcing her friends to go to trivia, or sitting by a creek.
