In partnership with CalFire the BCRCD has been assisting with environmental complicance, resource surveys, unit layout, and project oversight on state lands. Capacity building provided by the BCRCD expedited the implementation of forest health projects. Work conducted through these projects involved fuels reduction / rearrangment, hazard tree felling, and release of hardwoods and desirable conifer species.
